1st day of 2nd Grade

Today was Macy's 1st day of 2nd grade. She was so nervous to go to her new school. I think she is going to do great. Here she is in her classroom - getting started!

Family Pictures

We decided that we wanted to do some family pictures before Jase got busy with harvest and since we all had something purple from Hadley's wedding. It was a lot of fun. We went to the garden's at the college and Erin was so sweet to come and take our pictures. It was a lot of fun, but the boys are funny. We had a hard time getting everyone to smile at the same time and for the boys not to be pulling funny faces. We told Carter that he had to smile and he put on the most forced looking smile I have ever seen. It made me laugh. We were able to get some good pictures and so I guess they will work till next year.

Wood Cutting - Island Park

We headed up to Island Park last weekend to help Jase's Aunt & Uncle cut firewood. We all love being in the mountains. There is something relaxing about it. The kids had a good time playing and even helped haul some wood. Their favorite part is eating lunch up there. We saw two bull moose while were up there too.

Picnic at Grandma Bird's

It's always a good time when you get family, swimming and steak on the grill together. Dad made lamb chops and steak on the fire, they were so good. And we spent the entire afternoon in the backyard by the pool visiting and catching up. What a great summer day!

Horse Riding

The kids had a chance to go horse riding the 1st of August with Grandma & Grandpa Bird. They love being on the horse and they are getting to be good little riders. They would never get off the horse if they had it there way.

Hadley's Wedding

My little brother Hadley got married August 1st. What a crazy day. It was weird seeing the baby in our family getting married. Well I guess mom and dad are officially empty nesters now. It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was a lot of fun. I love being able to spend time visiting and catching up with family and old friends.

Jase's Birthday

Jase had his birthday the end of July. The kids were really excited. I was very excited, I bought him some new boots and I kept them a secret for 2 whole weeks. It just about killed me not to tell him what I had bought, but I was able to do it.

Pioneer Days

We went to the St. Anthony Pioneer Days parade today. We had a fun time, and it is such a fun parade. We got lots of candy and it's not too long. It was warm though.

Splash Park

We headed over the splash park so that we could cool off. It was a lot of fun, but it was crowded.

Carter finally went down the slide, and he loved it so much that he decided to go down face first on his stomach and he didn't even freak out when he got water in his face.

Farmer for a day

Last weekend Jase had to go out to the farm for a few hours so we all loaded up and went with him. It is fun for the kids to see what their dad does and we get to spend time together.

Swimming at Rigby Lake

We had a really fun day at Rigby Lake, the weather was perfect and we all came away looking a little "sun kissed" some more than others. Our favorite part, playing in the dirt.

4th of July

This year we went to the Rexburg parade. It was nice this year because it was a little cooler in the morning. The kids had a good time, but we ended up leaving a little early. Two hours at the parade is plenty for us.

Carter at the pool at Grandma's. We like to go to Grandma's and swim after a hot morning at the parade. We had BBQ ribs for dinner and they were awesome.

Carter, Jase, Austin, Grandma Bird, Macy & Grandpa Bird at the fireworks in Hamer. I love this fireworks show, you can easily find a spot to sit, the fireworks only last for about 30 - 45 min. and you can get right out on the road when they are over.
